I remember reading somewhere a few years ago about their future renovations planned by the current Director, in which was included the Asian elephant exhibit. It was going to be changed into something else (I don’t remember what exactly it was).Any plans on renovations?
Can you explain about the plans and why these where not acceptable to Osakans?I remember reading somewhere a few years ago about their future renovations planned by the current Director, in which was included the Asian elephant exhibit. The Zoo will be turned into an independent administrative institution next month (April 2021), with the former Director of Maruyama Zoo as their new one. The current Director will actually be “removed” from his duty.
This might affect the current Director’s plans, but in my opinion, the zoo would most likely prefer to stick them. His plans were indeed rational, but not acceptable to Osakans.
