Hi everyone,
My name is Abigail and I'm a Junior Keeper at the Singapore Zoo. My team and I care for the herbivores there like the Pygmy Hippos, Babirusa, Lowland Anoa, Giraffe, Grevy's Zebra, Ostrich, Nyalas, White Rhinos and Red River Hogs. If anyone has any super tips on exhibit furnishing and enrichment and positive reinforcement training for any of these animals, I'd love to hear from you!
I would be glad to share what I can as well (; Thank you!

Also from the Netherlands : Welcome to ZooChat ! Must be wunderful to work at a Zoo like Singapore :) !

Hi Abagail, are you a member of the Giraffe Training and Enrichment Facebook group? That would be a resource where you can find what you are looking for for giraffes, and probably the people in the group can either help you with the other species you need information for or connect you with people who can.

I have never been to Singapore Zoo but it has the reputation of being the best zoo in Asia. We look forward to your insights and especially learning of any rare species you might get. I would particularly be interested in small cats like flat-headed or marbled.

Welcome to Zoochat, I hope you find useful information here. I hear a new ungulate species (that was once extinct in the wild) will be added to the Singapore Zoo's collection soon :)

Welcome! :)Do you have a particular favourite species to work with?
Thank you !
The first few species I was fortunate enough to work with were the Brazilian Tapir and the Giant Anteater. I LOVED THEM. Currently I work quite closely with Pygmy Hippos and they are also starting to grow on me.
