Great news from la Palmyre : birth of a central common chimpanzee at the end of november. Mother is Tibé, arrived last year from Barcelona Zoo.
The central common chimpanzee troop is now 7 animals.
For info, the zoo has also a breeding group of western common chimpanzees.

The Zoo takes its time to do the work. The new enclosure will be ready for the end of the year, not before. So the giant otters are expected for 2022 !

The baby is a girl and the mother is Bamia, 17 years old. This is her second baby after Soko, a male, born 4 years ago.
The baby has been given the name of Linga.
