Visited the Austin Zoo for the first time today. The reptile house is closed. As well certain areas are blocked off where 6 feet of distance from mammals (especially cats and dogs) could not be maintained. Also I opted not to take the train, where apparently they exhibit several more species. Therefore this is not a complete list. I am happy to report the zoo is rapidly improving though. It is building much nicer and professional exhibits, that are larger. The cat collection for example all has nice exhibits. As well enrichment was seen in almost all exhibits. I saw at least 7 empty displays, some of which were fairly old and outdated. I wonder if they will remove these exhibits.
