It seems to become a annual event : Griffon vultures in the Netherlands. In the past few years, large groups are observed during warm-weather periods and last year I was so lucky to find my first wild Griffon vulture in the Netherlands.
Now again a large group has payed a visit and at least 25 birds were seen in Friesland !

Who released them, vogelcommando? What they feed on, are there organised feeding to them?
Or they are comming naturaly from France?

Anyway it is great news.

These are wild birds from France and Spain. Most likely they are forched by food-shortage to start to wander.

Tropical warm weather in the Netherlands ( 30 Deg. C and more ) so Griffon vltures start again to show up in the Netherlands. At several places small groups of 7 - 8 birds are seen :).
