Knowsley Safari Park Knowsley Safari Park 2021

It’s really good. The Bush Dogs looked like they were on an organised tour whilst exploring their enclosure for the first time.
Yeah, they're probably one of the most entertaining species to watch and they've certainly been dealt a good hand in regards to quality of enclosures, particularly in UK collections.

Fantastic video @BillBoy80. What an amazing enclosure, very impressive!!! Much bigger than when I visited last time(few years back). Let's hope they manage to pull in the visitors, make some much needed money and contiue to invest.

Before their recent expansion, their exhibit was one of the best in the UK for bush dogs, and they may have just taken the crown.

That said, I haven't seen the new exhibit at YWP, but I doubt it's as well planted or established as this. @Maguari you've been to YWP recently, how does their bush dog exhibit compare? :)

The YWP one is big (it's comparable in size to the neighbouring tapir and Maned Wolf enclosures), and does include a little bit of more mature planting and large trees, but a lot of it is very new. Of course, this also means there is less bare earth than in the Knowsley one! It probably needs someone to have seen both in the flesh to make a judgement!

Does anyone know any details on the two new Grevy's zebra that have arrived on the safari? They were teased on the Instagram page earlier today?

One of them is a 10 year old stallion called Quinley who arrived from WMSP, no idea who or where the other one came from

Visited yesterday. Luckily got to the tigers just as they were about to be fed. Miron is a beauty, Sinda was being very vocal in the neighbouring enclosure, hopefully they are able to be successful with breeding. The lions were as usual very popular, quite a queue to get into them. Impressed with the renovated bush dog exhibit. Upgraded to a membership whilst was there as a birthday present to myself, looking forward to getting a few visits in :)

Some really lovely pictures, particularly like the one of Miron feeding. It’s so good having Miron as he’s very active and loves to come up to the viewing windows. Sinda is always keeping a very close eye on him and she likes to parade up and down the fence that separates the two enclosures. Took a few photos myself yesterday but avoided the foot safari as the car park looked busy.

I think the Knowsley membership is really excellent value for money and you nearly always get a few good photo opportunities.

Loving your lion photos! They were all sleeping the first time I went round, second time round later on when they were up the keepers were asking cars to move along presume because the queues were long. It wasn't too busy around the tiger trail I was around that part for about an hour with the one way system. A lot of people look through a window say "can't see anything" and move on. Maybe now the displays are back on people were parked up for those, I did avoid that part.

Thank you very much, that’s very kind. True what you say about the Tigers, you do get people glance through the window and just move on. I like you like to spend some time observing them and it’s so satisfying when they come up close. Very lucky at Knowsley that is such a regular occurrence as at Chester you often have to be extremely patient when it comes to the two tigers there.

Just read @Pertinax post in WMSP thread does this mean that Knowsley no longer hold Barasingha? There were4/5 individuals

Edit: just checked and they no longer appear on website

They no longer have them. They were down to none at one stage I think. Then two years ago a male from Whipsnade and 2 females(I believe they came from Port Lympne) arrived. The females quickly died, leaving the stag alone until he moved to WMSP. I checked and they have none at Knowsley now.
