Dutch zoo guides

Sadly, it was too hot last sunday to stand around for too long and look for the birds, but there was no signage for crested guineafowl (and one sign was clearly removed) so I assume those are gone indeed.
According to Blijdorp news, the cape ground squirrels are sadly kept behind the scenes permanently too, so those are out of the weaver aviary.

I'll send updated versions later

I'm uploading GAIAzoo's maps today, but not all of them. I'm not doing the taiga aviary (yet) because of the uncertainty surrounding the animals, and I'm not doing the vreemde vogels aviary and the LimburgHUIS yet because... Well, they're just not finished yet

Where do you find those distribution maps? They can be pretty useful when making fantasy zoos

I make them myself!

I download a distribution map off the interwebs, then re-draw them on top of a line image of the world map. I can make some for you as well if you want

Another update: The African comb duck has been moved from the Congo aviary to the Flamingo aviary

Again something for Gaia: a lot of birds are temporarily in other aviaries while the Taiga aviary is being repaired (Scaly-sided merganser and Red-breasted goose in the Parakeet aviary, Demoiselle crane and Northern shoveler in the Flamingo aviary, etc). I didn't add them into there because the Taiga aviary will be repaired eventually

The Burgers' zoo free-roamers guide is finished, I'll be uploading them soon (though they're also to be found on the Burgers' free-roamers forum). I'm making a guide for the Pheasantry and the desert caves as well

I'm going to be making guides for Avifauna after I go there, because I'm not sure which aviaries need guides and which ones don't. After that, Amersfoort, Ouwehands and Wildlands
