Rising Stars in the Zoo World

You've kept that quiet!
Pretty sure I mentioned it to you the other day...? If I'm honest it's my parents day out that I've tagged along on. They did intend to go to Twycross but I kept mentioning Polar Bears so they decided to go to YWP, and that is when I realised I was free to go with them... :D

I expect a detailed report ;)
You may actually get one as it's a first time visit to a highly anticipated collection! ;)

Possibly, but your rate of zoo visiting has shot up in the last few months... I can't keep up! ;)

I agree that the NC Zoo could rise up. With 2600 acres and only 500 of that developed, it has all the room to expand and become a mega zoo

Wild Place Project definitely seems to fit this, in part because it’s a new zoo, but also due to the increasing quality of their exhibits (namely Bear Woods), and in the future this will obviously become a major player in the UK due to Bristol moving to the site.

I think that Planckendael has progressed well in recent years and the future plans released a few days ago sounds really great. So I think Planckendael will continue to improve in the coming years and consequently will become better. Same for the Rotterdam Zoo, which is going to renovate its buildings and exhibits very well. Unfortunately, there are not many really big projects.

It will improve, of course. Doesn't every zoo that? Given the relatively limited financial resources, they will never compete with the rising stars in the zoo world. And that is fine by me, they play by their own rules and they're doing fine.
