IUCN Red List changes and common zoo animals

Red-Crowned Cranes have just been upgraded to Vulnerable and Black-Necks have been upgraded to Near-Threatened on the IUCN Red List. Fast forward to 17:30 (Red-Crowned) & 19:48 (Black-Necked) in the video.

This is great news and hopefully, this will enable more aviculturists to work with these species and help propogate the ex-situ population!

I just looked at the IUCN Red List website and the red-crowned crane's conservation status hasn't changed.
