What is your job?

I do contract work for supermarkets. The work ranges from filling up a store's make-up or gift card stands, to setting up branded cardboard displays, to changing a store's DVD or book charts each week, it depends on the individual store or client, you rarely do the same thing in two different stores. There aren't many hours in it though, so I am on the hunt for a new job.

I am currently attending high school as a sophomore. I want to study to become an ornithologist, where I can hopefully get a job at a zoo, preferably in San Diego.

I'm a second year university student studying Zoology w/ Animal Behaviour. Not entirely sure on my end goal yet but working in a zoo is not out of the question.

I was in your shoes 20-25 years ago, loving the animal biology world and all that goes with it. If you want to continue in this sector I really recommend you get some work experience, voluntary one day a week to put on your CV, show the competition you are the real deal. Please feel free to pm for advice.

I'm doing a placement year next year, which should help a ton.

Hello.
I study International Relations at the State University of Rio de Janeiro. In the future, I intend to become a diplomat in Europe or Africa.

Strangely, in Brazil, public universities are the best anyone can attend. Of course, there is the Pontifical Catholic University as the main exception, but it, as I said, is one in thousands.

Gardener with semiretirement in sight, after nearly 47 years man and boy.

I'm full time zoo manager/paper pusher/listener to complaints/shoulder to cry on/paperwork procrastinator/ruiner of lives because I ask people to their jobs and it's just not fair. I used to see animals daily but sometimes I only see the rhinos as I walk to another meeting. Today I saw OMG OMG OMG a tiger. I am confident in my identification because there's a picture of one on the wall outside my office and the sign at exhibit said "tiger". I just finished looking through 39 performance reviews, let me gouge my eyes out. But so fortunate that I've spent 40 years in zoos, mostly with animals and I still love zoos, albeit the rose-tinted glasses fell off a long time ago. I could have spent my life polishing brass door handles and cleaning up drunks' vomit in a hotel which I did for a two months in a summer job in high school............

Funny how the job we think it will be, morphs into something else, that's partly why I ws pleased to give up public Parks department work and go into private practise, I still end up doing odd jobs for clients, but usually interesting things, rather than seeing to staff and sorting out people problems, I can be feeding the sheep, walking the dogs, seeing to the chickens, and that is just for one garden.!!

I'm an admin at a college. I have a few areas to look after, so if students need a letter, parents reports, appointments with tutors, answering phone and email, etc.

Currently in my second year of college studying environmental science. My current job is a dining service worker at a university cafeteria.

Project management for IT infrastructure installations at various hotels and a chain of retail stores.
