I hear you. Thank you for your interest in this story. I despise Elon Musk myself! I think he is a self entitled brat and horrible human being. Again, I despise him. I realize that this is quite a large task, but looking at just this offense alone, personally I think he should be prosecuted and jailed and I think SpaceX and Tesla need to have their corporate charters canceled and be shut down. Elon Musk is a piece of work and he needs to be reigned in and put in his place.

I shared this article in a Facebook group I belong to and two comments I got that I agree with included the following;

"Billionaires think they own the planet! In fact they already do. The terrifying thing is that 8 people hold HALF OF ALL humanity's wealth."

This man... He believes that robots are better than people (my ego :p) in all’s seriousness, though this needs to stop now.
 
It is also worth mentioning here that the extinction of the Dusky Seaside Sparrow (Ammodramus maritimus nigrescens) was caused by habitat destruction from NASA at Cape Canaveral.

“We are disappointed in this decision, but surely Elon Musk and his team don't actually want to harm endangered species. We're hoping that the SpaceX team will see that life here on Earth is worthy of more consideration and agree to minimizing the impacts at the Boca Chica facility,” said Mike Parr, ABC President.

Here is my honest opinion and this will sound cynical... I don't think Elon Musk could care less about whether he harms endangered species or not. He is a contemptible human being and a stone-cold sociopath, plain and simple. I strongly despise him.

The man is not driven by whether he will save the planet or not, he merely cares about the publicity he gets out of it.
I am all for the increasing study of astronomy - but the way Musk is going about it is rather deplorable.
I recall The Onion did a rather entertaining piece about him, titled 'Please Like Me'.

Honestly, I don’t get why anyone wouldn’t like me. I do cool stuff. I make cars. People like cars, don’t they? I make stonks go to the moon. Isn’t that cool? Isn’t making stonks go to the moon something people like? Seriously, c’mon. Appreciate me. I was on Rick And Morty. Wubba lubba dub dub, right? People love that show! I like to hang out. I microdose acid, a cool drug. Remember that time I went on Joe Rogan’s podcast and smoked that joint? Who else would be crazy enough to do that but me?
