Mixed species exhibit ideas

Which species of Plovers,Bustards, bittern and sunbittern can be kept in captivity?
Plovers are seldom kept, as they are often small and/or highly migratory birds. Nonetheless I think that all the European species are kept in a few collections.
All the bustard species can be kept, but some of them are very rare, and live only in African, Asian or Australian zoos and facilities.
Common and Little Bitterns live in some European zoos, I don't know for the species of other continents.
Sunbitterns (only 1 species) are fairly common in European zoos.

I don't many times I have to say this but the elephants could be mixed with Sika deer and Hornbill, NOT SUNBEARS!
What species of hornbill? Also, is there a zoo that has mixed these 3 together? Sounds like an interesting and a bit odd mix.

ok, does anyone know if dawn throated denerel are illegal for zoos? its not popping up in zootierlist
Not sure what that is as it isn’t coming up as I search, but if it isn’t on zootierliste that just means it isn’t kept in Europe.

Really? The bear is a threat for the hornbill? I saw that they eat honet, insects and smaller birds, rodent etc

They indeed don't eat hornbills, but they can still be aggressive to them

Which species of Plovers,Bustards, bittern and sunbittern can be kept in captivity?

In (European) captivity:
Bustards:
Asian houbara (Chlamydotis macqueenii)
Great bustard (Otis tarda)
Kori bustard (Ardeotis kori)
Little bustard (Tetrax tetrax)
(Also Buff-crested bustard (Lophotis gindiana), but it's very rare. So there's a very small chance of actually obtaining it)

Sunbittern:
Sunbittern (Eurypyga helias)

Plovers:
African three-banded plover (Charadrius tricollaris) (But also rare)
Black-headed lapwing (Vanellus tectus)
Blacksmith plover (Vanellus armatus)
Common ringed plover (Charadrius hiaticula)
Crowned plover (Vanellus coronatus)
Eurasian golden plover (Pluvialis apricaria) (Rare)
Kentish plover (Charadrius alexandrinus) (Rare)
Kittlitz's plover (Charadrius pecuarius) (Rare)
Long-toed lapwing (Vanellus crassirostris) (Rare)
Masked lapwing (Vanellus miles)
Northern lapwing (Vanellus vanellus)
Little ringed plover (Charadrius dubiu)
Red-wattled lapwing (Vanellus indicus) (Rare)
Southern lapwing (Vanellus chilensis)
Spur-winged lapwing (Vanellus spinosus)
Wattled lapwing (Vanellus senegallus)

Bitterns:
Little bittern (Ixobrychus minutus)
Great bittern (Botaurus stellaris)
Von Schrenck's bittern (Ixobrychus eurhythmus) (Rare)

Don't know, I was giving suggestion to species that could live with both Sika deer deer and Hornbill
Well then I’ll believe it when I see it because hornbill can be aggressive and a lot of hoofstock including deer are easily spooked. And that’s not even including the elephants.

Really? The bear is a threat for the hornbill? I saw that they eat honet, insects and smaller birds, rodent etc
It is still a bear, and accidents are a reasoneble danger (just like when in Leipzig a sloth Bear killed and ate a macaque). With rhinocerous hornbills being a vunerble species it is far to large of a risk. Espicialy since this exhibit would be a aviary. they would have only a limted area to escape on the long run

Um I think it was Hornbills and otters- is that even possible?
Well ig u can give me a combo for either rhino hornbill, small clawed otter, or both together
Im not 100% sure but I don’t think otter and hornbill would work. Hornbill generally aren’t even housed with other birds, let alone mammals. As for ASCO, they have been housed with a variety of mammals including a number of primates.
