I don't know if there is already a thread for this, but I couldn't find one (actually, I find it odd that there isn't one). I know a lot of people here have seen a lot of animals in the wild, and don't remember all of them, but lists about mammals you've seen in the wild are shorter and and are better able to keep up.
With me, so far it's the following species:
- Fallow deer (Dama dama)
- Eastern atlantic harbor seal (Phoca vitulina vitulina)
- Red squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris)
- European rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus)
- Brown rat (Rattus norvegicus)
- West European house mouse (Mus musculus domesticus)
- West European hedgehog (Erinaceus europaeus)
As you can see, not an impressive list at all. My list of birds, however, would be much more impressive, or at least I think so
. I have already heard stories here on Zoochat of individuals who have seen wild moose, white-tailed deer, wapitis, and hippos, and relatives of me have seen bears and reindeers, so yes, my list doesn't amount to much
. I would say go ahead
.
