And the sire is 9 year old Chitabe, this is his fourth calf after Bash, Elna, and Aziza. He is a genetically valuable bull as he is ranked 15th most valuable SWR bull in the nation and is recommended to breed with 8 cows at Lion Country Safari. Hopefully Chitabe is successful with the other six girls since only Bloom and her daughter Anna have bred at LCS in recent years.

A male chimp named "Tonk" was born on December 30th, 2021 to first-time mom "Irene", and he was the only chimp born at an AZA facility in 2021. This is the first birth at the facility in over 16 years and there are now 17 chimps living at Lion Country Safari.

According to my list, there are 18 currently at Lion Country Safari.

The father is either Jake or Ben.
