Zoom Torino Zoom Torino news

A new reptilarium has been opened, it hosts Iguanas (previously owned by privates), Indian rock phyton, african spurred tortoise, rock monitors and argentine tegus
From the project I can't understand in which part of the park it's been realized, Zoom already had a smaller reptilarium (with 2 species of snakes) close to the otters, it could be they are not in the same place as that one looked like a fallen tree and this looks more rocky

The 2nd pic. Seems like a "copy paste" from Bioparc Valencia to me... But not only that image.

I've reposted pictures used by local newspapers, they were the only avaiable ones back then, I can't really say how they look like for real

Also: the new otters area is close to tigers, inside the Asian area, possibly their previous habitat has been used for the new reptilarium

A couple of Reindeers arrived, a male, called Rudolph, and a female, I don't know if they are going to stay only for the Christmas period though

Correction: there are 4 new reindeers, coming from Brno and from Ljubljana, the young female is called Cometa
They weren't just a Christmas thing
I think they're hosted in the Worlds' Farm

Hello, there are new habitat in costruction in this park ?
No news at the moment, I've just noticed on maps that the northern part of the park (closed to the public) has been cleaned a lot (it's always been used to storage stuff), but I couldn't say that's going to be a new habitat soon

It's arrived a female or Red Panda from France (Biotropica), called Suki (8 months old), she'll join Haiku's (7 years old) habitat that has lived in Zoom Torino since 2015

Four Red River Hogs arrived from Chorzow zoo in Poland, the names will be decided through an online poll, they are 9 months old and they are all siblings from 2 different moms (Melissa and Jagoda, the father is Pumba), I didn't find informations online or pictures about where they're being hosted

They're being hosted in the (ex?) grey-crowned cranes and marabous exhibit in Serengeti's habitat

Great news: the new lions area will be opened in April, the 2 yo male comes from France, the two 3 yo females (which are sisters) come from Sweden

2 (i'd say females) giraffes named Vaiana and Raniha will arrive from Switzerland, so far Zoom had males of 2 different subspecies/species

Lisa, the female hippo has passed away at the age of 38, she arrived from Gelsenkirchen in 2014, with the younger male Ze Maria (born in 2011, in Portugal) she had a baby Fil-ippo in 2020

News: Sloths are coming! (they just sent newsletters about their arrival, not anywhere else)
Will Zoom expand into a South America zone too? As they already have llamas and alpacas next to a butterflies greenhouse
