My Fantasy Zoo: Dogwood Park Zoo

Nice zoo and nice map. I'd be sure to visit :)

Also, if you don't mind me asking, where did you create the map? I asked another Zoochatter where they created their map, and although I don't remember the name of what they used, I know it isn't supported on my computer.

I made it in PowerPoint using the curve line tool in shapes.

Hey Breckenridge, when will the species list be complete? This zoo looks great! :)
I have been busy lately finishing up my semester of grad school and haven't had much time to work on the species list. Birds and Inverts are the only ones left that I have to finish and birds will likely take a while to sort out as I have to be careful or else I go overboard with them.

Here is the first part of the updated species and exhibit list

I also would like to add that I forgot to include Ball python (Python regius) in the exhibit building part of the African Expedition post so it would come up to 16 total reptiles.

If you have any thoughts or suggestions, I would be glad to hear them, especially pertaining to mixed-species exhibits.

I don't think garden dormouse & bee-eaters are very common in zoos. I'd suggest you remove them.

They're not common but definitely present. I see no reason to remove them.

On the other hand none of the above walkthrough aviaries would work - try to separate larger and smaller birds in general and don't mix tiny birds with much larger birds who wouldn't mind a small snack. :)
Also would be lovely if you could describe the exhibits as well as providing the species lists? Species lists are all well and good but for all I know the zoo could be awful...

Yeah, it's just the dormouse though. There's only one zoo that I know has kept it, which is the Philadephia Zoo in Pennsylvania, and I'm not even sure if they still have them.
