The state of NC finally has a budget after the governor and legislature came to an agreement. The 2021-2022 budget as enacted has $41.2 million for Asia and $5 million for new trams. The legislatures 2022-2023 budget was not yet enacted but contains $33 million for Australia. This is on top of a $12.5 million dollar appropriation for the zoos overall budget each year.
