Cleveland Metroparks Zoo Cleveland Metroparks Zoo News 2021

I'm thinking about possibly making a trip in December. What is the temperature that requires the elephants and rhinos to stay indoors? I'm also wondering if Cleveland is experiencing a late fall this year. when I visited in 2017 at the beginning of October fall was in full bloom with the trees in their yellows and oranges. Cleveland is the best "Fall" zoo. I checked social media and its showing much of the foliage is still green. I hope by early-mid December there are still colorful leaves on the trees! Also I saw that for Wild Winter Lights this year their hours will be 5:30-10:30pm. I saw on their website it states:

"Will I be able to see animals during the event?
Many animals that are cold tolerant and enjoy the cold will have voluntary access to their habitats such as bears, tigers and reindeer."

I wonder if certain hoofstock species such as the zebras and giraffes that can handle the cold will be out? I hope the Primate, Cat & Aquatics building will be open as well. Does this mean that you can view the African Elephants inside during the event? That would be the icing on the cake!
