The red panda exhibit on the Asia trail will be under construction in April and will supposedly be ready in June.

A rhinoceros viper exhibit will soon be ready in the reptile building.

5 year old Ansel the African lion has arrived from Henry Vilas Zoo and has made his debut. He'll soon be joined by two sisters named Asha and Kali (born at Blank Park Zoo on 11/14/17).

The zoo is replacing their King Cobra with a Chinese cobra.
Six spotted turtles have arrived
The zoo got a new Mata-mata and a White-throated monitor. Also a Green-winged macaw and a Harris hawk.

They have had for a long time. I wonder when they're getting their Chinese cobra though.

I saw all of the birds there except for the cranes, goose, screamer, and hornbill. Robin-chat in the weaver exhibit (buffalos weavers seen, but not taveta).

The old sea lion exhibit is being replaced with Turtle Oasis, a native turtle exhibit expected to open in a few months. I'm not sure where, but the Cinereous vultures are being moved to a different part of the zoo.
