An update:

‘Indah's condition continues to improve and wildlife care specialists provide frequent opportunities for she and Kaja to bond. Until she chooses to resume her maternal care of him, our specialists are providing special care for this fuzzy little fella’.

The calf is female and her mom is Saba! There are now 6 Masai giraffes at the zoo.

Fred left in early 2021 and moved to an undisclosed facility in Florida. Harriet’s 2019 calf is named Nathani and he was also sent to a private facility about a year ago.

They likely will go in that night of or the following day, I will need to take my time to photograph the entire facility one day and Species portraits the next day

What happened to Indian Rhinos Jeezan and Jiyu?
I know they both died, but what were the dates of death?

1.0 Jeezan (14/10/2012) died in 2018.
1.0 Jiyu (09/05/2013) died in 2019.

No offical death date for both as far as I’m aware.

Gosh, this zoo is from another planet ! (The one which can afford $87 mln ). Thanks God they didn't import something like Platypus for the new exhibits, because my sleep would be very disturbed

On February 1st, it was reported that 4 US Marines were arrested on January 29th for vandalizing the zoo's Skyfari Aerial Tram, which caused the tram to be shut down for an hour.
