Aquazoo Leeuwarden - Insoide house
View attachment 532327

You know what I hate? The fact that you can't edit posts on ZC after an hour. Because sometimes you notice mistakes that you just have to fix because of your autism even though nobody in their right mind would ever notice it...

Aquazoo - Insoide house (again, because I forgot to add some of the numbers)

Edit: I almost just did it AGAIN. Glad I double-checked...

Artis will be going at a bit of a slower pace (especially in comparison to Beekse Bergen and aquazoo), as it is a city zoo with a lot of animal houses. I'll also be uploading as I make them, instead of making them all and then uploading them all in one go

The collection in Artis' bird house has been decreased immensly since I was there last. is that really all there's left in the tropical section?

Sumatran laughingthrushes were added to the tropical section the day after I posted it. I'm planning on doing a "corrections" post where I fix some mistakes or updates (like the Vicuna missing from the pampas map)

It is, most of the birds in the tropical section have been moved to the Metzelaarskas/Tropical greenhouse.

Wow, number of species is in steep decline...
The director has made very clear that Artis will be working towards less animals, so they have more room. Whether you think that's desirable or not, I certainly think it's wise in a practical sense, looking at the state of (local) politics and zoo-scepticism.
