Pictures I took on my trip on March 28, 2021. When I went there last month, they were hiding. I saw every bird in their aviary except them. They are the hide and seek champions

Doesn't seem like St. Louis has any captive mourning doves anymore, though plenty have made themselves at home on zoo grounds.
They are (were?) kept unsigned in the Cypress Swamp, so if you're saying that just because you didn't see them or evidence of them it's hard to say for sure.

Oh, my bad. I figured they would have been in the Bird House. I haven't seen mourning doves in the Cypress Swamp but given the nature of the exhibit and the fact they are unsigned they would be easy to miss.

I've confirmed from a keeper that there are in fact mourning doves in the Cypress Swamp, they are just difficult to spot.

Philippine ssp of Metallic Pigeon
I know this was some time ago but do you happen to remember where you learned that they were this subspecies? I have done some quick google searches and found nothing to suggest they are, but also nothing to prove you wrong, either. Is there any other interesting information that you have about San Diego's metallic pigeons?

Additionally, in April 2022, I saw Japanese Wood Pigeons in Wings of Asia at Zoo Miami, but I'm not sure if they're still there.

For band-tailed pigeons, Smithsonian will also have albilinea. I believe Nashville has this species as well.
