I am not showing the whole list, since that takes way to long. I am only showing the number of descendants.

This took me more than 2 hours to complete, and putting down all the names and parents and birthdays would probably take at least 8 hours. This list would probably be of more use/interest to people if you listed the hippos individually. This would give an indication of how well represented each was (especially if you could include all living relatives e.g. parents, siblings). Not all of the pairs would have shared descendants.

@Zoofan15 is right, this would be far more useful to us if you listed the names and ages of all the descendants and what zoos they are at currently. If you think it would take a really long time, you are more than welcome to take a few days to complete the project. It doesn't have to be done entirely in one sitting. This took me more than 2 hours to complete, and putting down all the names and parents and birthdays would probably take at least 8 hours.
Exactly! I've spent up to a month on some ZooChat projects I've posted. Many others have spent several months creating and working on their projects. If you feel like spending 8 hours to complete this is too much, then don't do it. It's as simple as that! This should be something you like to do and something you're willing to put time into doing, not something you're compelled into doing.Eight hours? You make it sound like a chore!
I’ve spent weeks compiling the background info for my population threads and writing them up (as have others who’ve created them).

I advise you not to overdo it making something that would be a 10 minute job on ZIMS, or half an hour with a PDF of the studbook
The AZA studbook have recently migrated to ZIMS, meaning that there are records there for even Tracks or ACS animals in the studbook population- it’s a pretty exciting developmentHey, ZIMS isn't always accurate, and doesn't have everywhereThe studbook, though!
