@Zoofan15 So Anjalee has arrived at WP now, am sorry to see her and Burma leave Auckland Zoo really am man as AZ had some really good plans from the sounds of it that if had been possible to of seen done would have been a potentially nice small matrilineal herd; hoping the very best with how circumstances have gone the way that they have and just wishing the very utmost best for Anjalee and her bonding with her fellow Eles' in the herd/group at Dubbo and maybe even a son or daughter for Anjalee some year very soon will make her happy, same for Burma with her integration with the Sumatran females at Australia Zoo. Wow that's interesting that after a century+ of different Asian Elephants being on Aus' shores (sadly mostly under not very nice living circumstances) that Anjalee is the first from the Sri Lankan subspecies to be in Aus'.
Hoping only because WP has more space that Anjalee will actually enjoy the move from her point of view but that is the furthest thing from a critique of Auckland Zoo, Dubbo is has a rare fortunate standing of being able to roll out a lot more acres for its animals due to its space which only Monarto, Orana and Werribee can also afford at present.
