It's nice to finally take part in this challenge, although I think I would have fared better last year. Still, I'm grateful for the additions of sharks which has salvaged my score so far.

Poznan is the perfect place for this challenge and if you make it there on the beginning, your score will be very high. But as usually happens in life there were good news and bad news. The Rodent area is still restricted and now most of the exhibits look empty. The nocturnal house also lost some interesting species and there were few exhibits with the same animals and even empty ones. The good news were that I managed to observe Nandinia few times, saw the Vampire bat drinking blood and very active group of Feather-tailed Gliders.
Missed one from Lodz

A lone addition at London Zoo today - the nocturnal area was frustratingly closed, so I couldn't tick off the Pygmy slow lorises or the tenrecs within.
Edit - quoted the wrong post but I was on 32 the post before.

Question - does it count if you saw the animal on a live CCTV feed whilst at the zoo? Because that depends on whether I can count the Owston's Banded Palm Civet. I'm gonna play safe and say it doesn't for now, but here's what I did see, in the flesh....

Question - does it count if you saw the animal on a live CCTV feed whilst at the zoo?
12. Wild animals do not count, all species must be seen in captivity under all the conditions listed above;
Quick question regarding this as I assume it’s in regard to things like birds or lizards spotted around the grounds of a zoo and would like maybe a ‘referee decision’ on something.
Kumasi Zoo has a permanent colony of 1000s of Straw-Coloured Bats in a couple of trees in the grounds. To the point they’re basically advertised in the zoos branding and famous for it. There’s even been plans for a viewing tower. So whilst they’re technically ‘wild’ they’re basically permanently situated in the zoo grounds (by the entrance) and advertised by the zoo. Would you count this or nah?
This *should* be my last time adding a species from Roger Williams Park Zoo:And one more Roger Williams Park Zoo addition from yesterday:
53. Barn Owl- Tyto alba
