Indeed, nothing evokes the West African rainforest quite as much as lawn grass...Gorria went for the undercover look 2016 melbourne zoo
This one I took of a Klipspringer at San Diego has a bit of a wild feel to it…

Especially considering that it is posed in front of a painted mural and not outdoorsThat hornbill one is very, very good!

Red Panda at melbourne zoo 2022 a bit of a portrait but still shows some nature
Pygmy Hippo Melbourne zoo 2016
The panda is okay, but the obviously fake rocks in the hippo photo and the lawn in the gorilla photo do not at all look wild.Gorria went for the undercover look 2016 melbourne zoo
I do really like this photo - great job - but I don't think it fits this thread. Those rocks are clearly fake. This one I took of a Klipspringer at San Diego has a bit of a wild feel to it…
It sounds weird to say but the hornbill is probably one of the best photos on this thread that fit the title.

That's far but I think it gets a pass. Most people don't know that so could easily think this photo was taken in the wild.Except that this is a rainforest species, not an arid country one, so it is not realistic...
I didn't even notice the bird! It's actually a Spotted Dove from southeast Asia (introduced to Australia). The woodpigeon really adds up to the jungle feeling too
That reminded me of this photo I took in the actual wild! (This is a crop, the full photo was similar to yours).
But then, "most people wouldn't know that those trees are eucalypts", "most people wouldn't know that species x and y don't occur together in the wild", "most people wouldn't know etc etc".That's far but I think it gets a pass. Fair enough. But then, "most people wouldn't know that those trees are eucalypts", "most people wouldn't know that species x and y don't occur together in the wild", "most people wouldn't know etc etc".
I still don't see the bird, where is it?I didn't even notice the bird! It's actually a Spotted Dove from southeast Asia (introduced to Australia).
