On June 30th, the zoo announced they have released (0.0.5) Florida grasshopper sparrows back into the wild on June 22nd. The zoo also announced they have had (0.0.17) sparrows born during the year, as well as 3 more on the way.

On July 1st, the zoo announced that a (0.1) alpaca named Carletta has passed away at age 19 due to a long battle with chronic kidney disease.

On July 3rd, the zoo announced they have announced that (3.0.6) slender-tailed meerkats were transferred to multiple different unspecified AZA facilities. The zoo is also expecting babies, which would be the first time since 2018 the zoo had successfully bred the species.

The herd of impalas, who live on the Veldt — a large grassy area where the giraffes are kept — gave birth to three calves, with two males born June 25 and June 26, and a female born July 2. The babies do not have names yet but have been able to explore the bushes and fields of the Veldt with their herd.

On July 27th, the zoo announced that they have acquired (0.2) white-nosed coatis named Sky and Rita from an unspecified private facility in Texas. They were both born in May and are now on exhibit with the rest of the coatis in Rainforest Revealed.

The zoo also announced that one of their other coatis, a (0.1) named Agrave, will not become a part of the SSP due to having a congenital heart defect.

On July 29th, the zoo announced they have acquired a (0.1) white-tailed deer named Plum from a wildlife rehabilitation facility which is on exhibit adjacent to the black bears in the Wild Florida area. She is on exhibit with the zoo's other white-tailed deer and Osceola turkeys.
