Are These in Captivity? #2

Other than Atlantic Mudskippers, are there any other Mudskippers species are kept in zoos or aquariums?
Same question to Terrestrial snails other than African Giant.
Singapore River Safari has Pearse's mudskippers iirc. Also does any aquarium keep any kind of anglerfish?

Does anyone know if magnificent Frigate birds are in captivity?
Texas State Aquarium keeps them.
as rescues?
I would assume.
According to this article released by the aquarium, it appears that their individual is a female rescued in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey :).

Are vervet monkeys kept in zoos anywhere? I had the good fortune of seeing these I'm the wild recently and they were fun to watch. What about olive baboons? I think in the US anyway it's just Hamadryas.

Both are held in European collections/EAZA country collections, according to Zootierliste :)

Vervet Monkeys are very common in North American roadside zoos but some are found in AZA zoos like San Diego and Woodland Park.

Vervet are commons both in Europe and in North America. Olive baboons are present in good numbers in Europe. They're probably also present in decent numbers in roadside zoos. Toronto should still have some.

There are both vervets and olives in the US. Within the last year, I've seen olives at Lake Tobias (Pennsylvania) and Catoctin (Maryland).

Many aquariums keep frog fish. Some keep monkfish/goosefish and a few keep deep sea coffin fish such as chaunax abei. For deep sea anglerfish pacific foot ball fish have been kept but they did not live long.

Not the glowy toothy ones you're thinking of, but many benthic angler species are kept, such as frogfishes, batfishes, coffinfishes, monkfishes and handfishes.

Numazu Deepsea Aquarium had Pacific Footballfish for a short time, but it died quickly.

Are there hornbills in any zoos? I’ve never seen one and as my username states they’re my favorite bird haha.

Uh... yes, there's over a dozen species present in the United States, several of which are common... that would have been very easy to find out searching this site or Google.

Also, are there any moose in zoos? I’ve heard of some in the care of wildlife rehabbers, but never in an actual zoo

Again, yes. Quite a fewer zoos in North America and Europe have them.

Hornbill are quite common in zoos, I feel that you should’ve been able to see quite a few species if you visited the San Diego Zoo as you mentioned in another post.

Moose on the other hand I don’t necessarily know how common they are, but certainly are around. Columbus has one or two.

On another note, please try to Google any captive animal queries as that will be your best chance of getting a fast and reliable answer, especially for common species such as hornbills or moose. If then you don’t get a reliable or certain enough answer (e.g. searching for something specific such as a helmeted hornbill (which is not present in captivity to my knowledge) or something obscure such as hartebeest in US zoos or whatnot), that’s usually when coming to this thread would be most helpful, where members with good knowledge can help answer your questions :).

I believe Wildlife World Zoo and Aquarium in metro Phoenix has olive baboon and vervet monkeys.
