Rare in zoos, wallabies and kangaroos

I know it’s been a while but in the Us there are defenetly Dorcopsis because in the annual report of Prague Zoo there stands 3.2.0 Dorcopsis sp. We’re send to Skærup Zoo, Bestzoo and the Us. Unfortunately I don’t know if it’s a facility or a private holder.

There's at least one private/hobby breeder who has them. I'd be surprised if Prague Zoo is where they came from, but then again, where else would they have come from?

How many Parma and swamp wallabies are left in captivity in the US? My home zoo- Cleveland Metroparks- used to have both, but, now, have only Bennett's wallabies, wallaroos and red and gray kangaroos.

They're both held by non-AZA places. Swamp, especially, are in roadside, traveling, etc. zoos.

I think Parma and swamp wallabies have become less common in AZA zoos. Bennett's is the wallaby I have seen the most at different zoos...

I believe Swamp wallabies are not found in any AZA zoos, but there is a group of them at Wildlife World Zoo in Arizona. I saw an episode of The Zoo on Animal Planet where a swamp wallaby is rescued from the exotic pet trade in New York. The Bronx Zoo helps place the wallaby at Wildlife World Zoo because it is the only place where the wallaby would be able to have a normal social situation with others of its species.

I believe Swamp wallabies are not found in any AZA zoos,

Brevard and Sunset hypothetically still have them.

Gotcha. I'm not sure if swamp wallabies were once more common in AZA zoos, but Cleveland once had them along with Parma... today, just wallabies, wallaroos, gray and red kangaroos in their "Wallaby Walkabout" area. As for Brevard and Sunset, I believe Brevard still has one (they had one named Thumper in 2020 and I don't believe it has died or been moved since them) and I don't believe Sunset has any anymore... the website just lists Bennett's.

As for Parma, the following AZA zoos had them in 2018: Cincinnati, Happy Hollow, Kansas City, Peoria, Point Defiance, San Diego and Sunset. As best as I can tell from their websites, etc., Parma wallabies are still held at all of them, but I am not sure how often these websites are updated.

Yeah, I'm not sure how accurate the websites are either. As I posted above, neither brevard nor sunset has swamp wallaby listed on their websites anymore, so there's a chance they've been phased out of both AZA zoos depending on the websites' accuracy.
