Aren't there Springbok as well? I saw a young one at the nursery back in February (it was also signed).

Also, what is the status of the Dholes? Are they not kept at the parks Asian Savanna?

Aren't there Springbok as well? I saw a young one at the nursery back in February (it was also signed).
There is a herd of springbok in the South Africa field exhibit with the Masai giraffe, sable, gemsbok, etc.

Also, what is the status of the Dholes? Are they not kept at the parks Asian Savanna?
The dholes are held in a behind-the-scenes complex behind the field exhibits. They should have 0.8.

So I heard the news about the black rhinoceros being phased out. A shame tbh as it seems not a lot of zoos hold this critically endangered species compared to the white rhino.

Hidden Jungle is closed due to bird flu, but Wings of the World is not? That's wierd. Also seems only waterfowl has been pulled and everything else is still on exhibit.

CONDOR RIDGE

So they removed the elegant-crested tinamou from the aviary where the toco toucan is at?

So they removed the elegant-crested tinamou from the aviary where the toco toucan is at?
They removed their Fischer's lovebirds? :(
Neither were signed or seen.
The lovebirds were in that aviary when I visited in May but were unsigned. Perhaps they were there but you just didn't see them? The tinamou are indeed gone and have been for several months now, though I *think* they still have them bts.

I think they only had/have one male, the tinamou population in the US is pretty certainly done for without a major import.

I was looking through my album from my first visit on my birthday, trying to recall if I saw one or two. I believe there was only one. I have pictures of them; they were shy at first but I got some good phone captures.

Looking back, the trumpeter pair in the next flight were really gregarious and not shy about their pictures taken
