Gharial reintroduction

On 31st July, one of the enclosures at the Kasara gharial breeding centre in Chitwan National Park was breached by a tiger, which killed three of the gharials and ate one of them, before escaping. The tiger in question was (direct quote) 'later caught and transferred to a cage' - no further detail there.

The information comes from the article below:
In Nepal, endangered tiger kills critically endangered gharial. What does it mean?

A rather bizarre response by authorities to capture the tiger and transfer it into captivity. A former worker at the breeding center was cited as observing that the perimeter of the gharial breeding center was ill-maintained!!!!!

No news about the number of gharial currently maintained at the Kasara Gharial BC in Chitwan NP. Not about the number of hatchlings and adults ...!
