Planet Zoo Planet Zoo!

What is the maximum size that the Indian Elephants can get in the game? I have a 3.43-meter tall bull and he is MASSIVE!!! He makes the cows look like juveniles! It makes me think why do people want Wolly Mammoths back when we already have elephants that can get this big? Also, I'm surprised we haven't seen a good Sumatran Rhino mod yet. Lastly I like how the newest Black Rhino mod is the size of the extinct Stephanorhinus kirchbergensis.

I don't know if these were hacked or not, but this article is an interesting read.

On a different note, I came across this in the Planet Zoo subreddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/PlanetZoo/comments/wrp9l5/did_frontier_just_tell_on_themselves_lol_notice/
This doesn't hint towards a pack, per se, but it does hint at a feature of an upcoming update. Or it could just be another "Waluigi Chair" reach.

Is there a way to pin a camera on the back of an animal so it looks like you're riding it??? I think that's be so much fun, especially when you can create courses for it to run through! I'd love to do it for rhinos and other ungulates along with bears and big cats!

As I've been playing and creating many zoos (this is why I haven't been uploading many maps here, I'm sorry...), I've thought about some updates/extra features which I think would help make the game better;
- Children's playgrounds (slides, swings, see-saws, etc.); It would be a very fun space filler, plus it would increase guest happiness. Maybe some designs from Planet Coaster (carrousel) could be recycled...?
- More educational displays; I really like the ones introduced in the latest patch, like the giraffe and gorilla height stands and the paw display. Imagine if we had more of those in the future, like a tactile display with fur, feathers and scales, or interactive touch screens. There's tons of potential here!
- Animal food stands; what if you could build a shop that sells food for certain animals (flamingo, prairie dog, bison...) For the guests to throw at them. Even though it would be a... Controversial system, to say the least, why not include it?
- An update to the animal appeal numbers. So many things in that system just don't add up. Why are Komodo dragons so much less popular than giant tortoises and all the crocs bar the spectacled caiman, when in real life they'd surpass them? Why are African penguins more popular than king penguins?! These and so many others need to be addressed and corrected ASAP.
- Animal ambassadors. I think it would be SO cool if some individual animals (maybe only those born in your zoos) could be trained to be ambassadors, and educators could take them around the zoo to put on little displays. Binturongs, lemurs, capuchin monkeys, nile monitors, African penguins... Even orangutans, sea lions and Asian elephants would be absolutely amazing with this feature!
I know some of these may not be to everyone's liking, and I am even more certain that there are more improvements to be made. So feel free to agree or disagree!

This lack really surprises me honestly. Should be easy to pull a few things from Planet Coaster and add in a few other items. Both ZT's had this and literally every real zoo has them so why doesn't PZ?

Not sure I'm a fan of this idea. Yeah some zoos do it but eh...

Yeah some things need adjusting here. Not sure whether I'd put King above African, here the banded penguins are the default penguin and quite popular. King definitely has the added size and more "tuxedo" look, but I'm not sure if they go over the smallers or not in popularity.

This would be really cool if they could find a way to do it. Or even possibly training displays? Don't doubt it would take some interesting coding logistics (animal escape alert unnecessary, how do they hold the animal and restrain it, what all do they do?)

Many of the Komodo's finer details are copy-pasted from the Nile Monitor, appeal included. I still don't like that, and it should easily be the most popular reptile in the game.
I think the Spectacled Caiman and the Red-Crowned Crane may have had their appeals accidentally swapped on the Steam page, but I could be wrong. Try making exhibits for them both in Sandbox and see which one draws in more guests.
As for why African Penguins are more popular than King Penguins? Conservation? Maybe? That's what I'm going with.

If they're gonna do carousels, they shouldn't recycle the Planet Coaster ones. Well, maybe the frames, but the not the horses. Instead, they should select 50 or so habitat animals (including those from DLCs) and make carousel versions of them that we can pick and choose!

I guess they could have the animals on a leash or something.
By the way, another necessary update; stop making diving animals fase through walls like Casper!!! I can't count how many times my African penguins have escaped when I made their exhibits have underwater vision.

Oh definitely! I'd like to see themed carrousels, like an African one with lions, zebras, giraffes, hippos, etc. Or an Indian one with tigers, elephants, rhinos, gharials, etc.

Nope. Just a whole lotta nothing. I suspect that we might be getting a new DLC announced in the coming weeks now that the summer months are over.
(Dang it, Argus, right as I posted mine…)
I should mention that #FixTheMalayanTapir is at the end of nearly every post on Frontier Forums. Will Frontier listen and make this uniquely bad animal better? Only time will tell.
