Worth noting that their Grey Crowned Cranes are a different subspecies. They're Balearica regulorum regulorum and are the only ones in the UK according to ztl.

Pipaluk,

I visited for the second time earlier in the summer (my first visit was at the back end of 2014) and my thoughts reflect yours exactly. I was disappointed with the much-reduced collection and the overgrown and run-down enclosures. Fortunately I did see the lemur - which could only be viewed through the window of the education/meeting room - and I did see the Geoffroy's cat - through the window of the cafe. The warty pigs were shut in their barn. Gone also were jangaurundi, slender mongoose, sitatunga, callitrichids and many interesting birds too.

Thanks Paradoxurus, it's good to know my assessment wasn't overly harsh!

There was a single jaguarundi on show in the square cage with glass panes which previously held a Geoffroy's Cat and before that yellow mongoose ( photo in gallery).

good news for those who want to see a crowned crane barely different to the other ones then! :D

Not seen this mentioned, 4 spot billed pelican have been imported from Zlin.
as well as temporarily holding Pacific brent geese.

Just a update on the White Stork that escaped last year from a recent sighting page (Nottingham)
- sightings.html

Attenborough Nature Reserve - White Stork [circled over Clifton Pit before drifting off North, 12:45. (This is presumably the same bird that roosted at Sudbury Hall, Derby's yesterday and was seen drifting S/E over Sinfin, Derby's this morning. It was ringed as a nestling in Poland in 2011, and was injured in a collision with a power line in Poland in 2014 and was sent to Shorelands in Norfolk for treatment in the same year. By 2015 it was able to fly again and escaped in early 2016. It has been roaming the country since

Are there any animals from there kept private or were all animals send to other zoos?
Sorry, I have no idea what has happened to the animals or the site since it closed. It had gone down hill between my 2 visits in 2014 - 2016.
