I thought I remembered hearing about a Zootopia section replacing Rafiki's Planted Watch? Was that idea scrapped?
Indiana Jones was never anything more than speculation, since the DINOSAUR ride is on the same track system as Disneyland in California's Indiana Jones ride. It was never an actual plan Disney announced, just speculation by people who wanted to see the Disneyland ride cloned at Disney World.I thought I remembered something about an Indiana Jones section going in. That would have made a lot of sense and opened up quite a few specie possibilities
It's a lot better than using Avatar again for some damn reason
American Croc, Abdim's Stork, and one of the Tortoise species (Asian Brown I believe).
I doubt it. The roos and Wallabies have good exhibits already, and wouldn't fit thematically with Moana- which is Polynesian in origin, not Australian. Personally, I don't get why these are the IPs they are shoehorning in to Animal Kingdom when there are a lot of better IPs that cohesively fit Animal Kingdom better. Moana doesn't really relate to animals at all, other than the presence of a chicken, a pig, and a few ocean creatures, while Zootopia breaks Joe Rohde's no pants rule. I'd much rather see a South American themed area featuring Up and Encanto as the IPs, but oh well- I don't have high faith in Disney anyways.

Yes. Conrad was transferred from Kansas City at the beginning of August. Hopefully he will be on exhibit in the coming week or so (Assuming the quarantine period is 1 month)
And I found it quite interesting, so thanks for posting.
It’s relevant to talk about changes to institutions on zoochat regardless of whether or not they include animals. This piece of news does involve animals anyway!Interesting doesn't make it relevant to zc, though, unless animals are specifically mentioned.
Personally, I don't see why a piece of news has to be relevant to the animals to be posted - especially at a facility like DAK where non-animal areas are a huge focus.Interesting doesn't make it relevant to zc, though, unless animals are specifically mentioned.
Also note that Dinoland did not have any live animal exhibit either for most of the park's history.
I knew the exhibits were there but weren't they empty for a long time? This is false, the park opened with Chinese Alligators and Seriemas where there is currently an American Crocodile and Abdim's Storks.![]()

Sadly I do think the area is looking dated, and with Pandora now open I think less and less people visit that side of the park. It is a shame, because Dinosaur is a genuinely brilliant ride. I hope against hope that they decide to keep at least that part.I really hope none of this ever comes to fruition. Dinoland USA is a great combination of dinosaurs and nostalgic Americana. Sure it's not perfect, but I'd rather see a more naturalistic alternative to the carnival area than removing Dinoland altogether.
Found these two in the Oasis section of the park on my visit Tuesday. I am pretty sure these are geese, but I am not sure what type. I don't recall seeing these before and, not surprisingly, there was no signage.
