It says in the press release they are "20m L x 12m W x 8m H" - so pretty big!

That's a very good size! Perfect for the sort of role this will fill

I’m not too confident we’ll get flying birds as habitat animals now, knowing the size of the exhibit - 5x3 grid squares is big enough for pretty much anything they could add, but we’ll see.

I think the Egyptian Fruit Bat was chosen for its wider natural range and higher captive population (thanks, Henry Doorly). Plus they look a little more “spooky” than the Rodrigues Flying Fox.

It looks like Red Foxes can be piebald like the Nyala, Pronghorn, and Springbok. I had a feeling that was the reason why they were included in this pack.
Edit: Apparently they’ll also come in black, white, and silver, too.

Now that I see it, I do like the look of the model, I was still trying to make a good zoo with all the species but it keeps getting halted cause of having to fit in all the new dlc species so I've taken a break for now.

I can’t be the only one who thinks the Striped Skunk looks a little off, right? It’s not as bad as the OG Binturong, but I’m a little weirded out by how clearly I can see it’s eye amongst its fur. Maybe it’s just a lighting issue?

So it seems that content creators on Youtube have been allowed to showcase the Twilight Pack a day before it is released to the public. Some things about the walkthrough exhibit (for the fruit bats) that may be of interest:

- The exhibit can have all its walls, doors and the ceiling removed to make a sort of null barrier, so you could make a much larger display that the bats appear to have access to (as shown in this video):

- Also, once the barriers are turned to null barriers, habitat animals are able to pass through them so the bats could, in theory, be displayed alongside other animals.

Here's some information regarding the new animals:

• Egyptian Fruit Bat is the most popular exhibit animal, with similar appeal to the largest crocodilians.
• Wombat has similar appeal to the koala, platypus, red panda, and several bears. Not a walkabout animal, nor can it get a bonus with koala (unfortunate).
• Red Fox has similar appeal to aardvark, camel, anteater, and meerkat. It could also count as an Australian animal because they are invasive to Australia (not official, but maybe someone could do that?).
• Raccoon & Skunk are the two least appealing animals in the pack, but you can get a triple interspecies bonus enrichment combo if you house the two of them with the beaver.
• Skunk also gets enrichment bonus with prairie dogs. Is that unrealistic? Would a hungry skunk snack on a baby prairie dog if given the chance? I've warmed up to the skunk, btw.

So while this isn't the Nocturnal Animal Pack ft Tasmanian Devil we were all expecting, I can't say I'm disappointed. North America & Australia got some big buffs regarding their rosters, and the BATS! I don't think an exhibit animal will ever steal the show like this again.

Anyways, next month marks 3 years of Planet Zoo, and December might give us a winter DLC? I'm not saying either of these are guaranteed, but Frontier would be a fool to miss out on holiday sales. Here's to Planet Zoo's future!
