Franklin Drive Thru Safari up for sale
Texas drive-thru safari hits market with over 100 animal species

Franklin Drive-thru Safari in Texas is up for sale. You can buy the whole zoo, just the safari or just one of the buildings. The owner (going through legal issues) will still want to be involved. The owner of Myrtle Beach Safari pulled the same schtick after being indicted by the FBI for trafficking violations.

The owners of those two are best buds and have several linked animal-related charges against them. I doubt he'll find a buyer who is willing to still have him involved. Wtf would anyone do with one building, anyway? Antle just transferred everything to his friend's name, like Joe did with Jeff Lowe in Oklahoma.

Antle "sold" Myrtle Beach Safari to one of his "wives", who just had to register her own business. The fact that the legal system allowed for such a sale, I don't know what to say. I'm going to guess one of Jason Clay's "friends" will be the ones purchasing the place in a few weeks/months. But I doubt we'll ever hear on where said friend got the funds for such a purchase....

When places pull this trick, the sale is usually for something like $1.

I was just there for the first time two days ago. It was alright, but nothing special. There are a bunch of these places in Texas, and of the four I've been to, this was the least interesting. The road through the park is in horrible condition, and the new owners better be prepared to sink a lot of money into it to make it presentable. The only thing it had going for it was the relatively low percentage of fallow deer. Most places like this have way too many of them.

They've had some notable species, but species there come and go with a fairly high frequency.

They are trying to sell the place for $20 million, yeah I don't think anyone is going to take this from them.

East Texas Zoo has been sold. It's already been renamed Canton Grand Adventure Safari. According to the new owners, "We will be expanding the zoo, having more walk-thrus, adding more exotic animals and more encounters." It was purchased by two exotic dealers, Misfit Exotics and Mystic Acres.
