Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden Management and Direction of Cincinnati Zoo

I might not be caught up on all of the news surrounding the zoo, but does anyone have something that has a list (with details) of all of the upcoming expansions at the zoo? I'm familiar with the new elephant expansion, but that is the only thing I know of.

Why are the hoofstock being moved out of that mixed exhibit? Isn't it a newer exhibit?

Here's everything on the docket for the next few years: Upcoming Zoo Projects

The North American species description now says there will be a multi-species exhibit. No mention of black bears. Were the plans changed?

So this may be the most ridiculous thread on Zoochat ever (is there an award?)
With all the armchair zoo fans annoyed that the Cincinnati Zoo isn't making the decisions that they would make (recognize the Sumatran rhino along Wildlife Canyon?!?!?!? What about the Zoo's 150 years of significant breeding successes?); the attack on the animal department for all things hippo and brushing away a serious consideration that the Hippo TAG AND the SSP would have made a different recommendation if they felt it was warranted (everyone involved knows thoroughly the situation in Cincinnati. No decision was made out of ignorance. Even if there are problems after the fact); the criticism of the zoo for earning money off of Fiona's popularity (this IS the zoo that was built largely off of white tigers); and of course the posts of a serial imposter stirring things up more!
This discussion does not, on the whole, reflect well on the Forum.

Oh dang... I didn't mean to make this spiral out of control. I was just worried about Fiona and Fritz's safety now that all 4 hippos live together, and I didn't know exactly who I should be mad at. I'll admit my Sumatran Rhino comment was a little nitpicky, and I was admittedly kind of copying various statements I had heard from here when I was an accountless lurker.
I am sorry for de-railing the Cincinnati Zoo 2022 thread, and I will refrain from voicing my opinions on this zoo that I have only ever visited once unless something truly awful happens.

Even their online gift shop is hippos all the way down.
Hippos are my all-time favorite animal and even I wouldn’t do something like that if I had a zoo!

Same as me, unless that section of gift shop is dedicated to hippos, you should NOT only be selling the same animal again when you have over a hundred species of animals you can choose from in the zoo.
