I understand that the car park is being used by the Metropolitan Police, not sure whyI noticed when looking at the website today it says
London Zoo’s car park will be closed from Tuesday 22 November – Friday 2 December.
I'm surprised. It's in Regent's ParkI understand that the car park is being used by the Metropolitan Police, not sure why
Please keep trying, one day there will be enough zoo people bothering to vote and you will be elected. A lot of the candidates barely mention the zoos in their statements!
Many years ago, some candidates had asterisks by their names, as ZSL felt they were the best candidates. One 'special' candidate didn't mention zoos, animals or conservation. Why did that person stand for election? Please keep trying, one day there will be enough zoo people bothering to vote and you will be elected. A lot of the candidates barely mention the zoos in their statements!
That's good to know! Thanks. One major positive from the meeting this evening is that ZSL staff seem to be profoundly aware of the many problems and are laying in plans to address them.
Fingers crossed for long-term success this time.
Ah this is so sad xSadly, the female tiger cub has died.
"Inca, one of three cubs born in June to parents Asim and Gaysha, was discovered dead in the Tiger Territory enclosure on Wednesday morning.
She had been seen playing happily with the rest of her family earlier that morning with no evidence of illness or injury.
Shortly after the tigers went into the outdoor paddock after breakfast as usual, keepers doing their standard checks saw Inca lying unmoving behind a log. They immediately called the tigers inside and made their way into the enclosure, but she had already died.
Nobody saw what happened, but the physical evidence suggests Inca was likely injured by a single swipe from another tiger. It’s not uncommon for tiger parents to give cubs a warning swipe in the course of normal parenting, but sadly this caught Inca in a delicate area of the skull, and she is thought to have died instantly."
