Planet Zoo Planet Zoo!

Ugh, yeah, with how big the roster is I can't believe that there are still so few small cat species! And small cats are certainly varied enough that there are several they can add without it feeling redundant or repetitive. Personally, I think the ocelot is just a no-brainer. They're common in zoos, and they're a great addition to South American and rainforest themed areas. And I think Pallas's cat would be very popular with players.

Also agreed that more South America and Oceania rep would be great. Players have been begging for the Tasmanian tiger since the start of the game. I'm hoping that with the addition of walkthrough exhibits, we'll get a lot of bird species from both regions. After all, that's where you get a lot of the most iconic birds. I. Want. Macaws.

Anyway. The red deer is a nice addition to the game. Very majestic-looking animal. Wish we got more of a shop upgrade than just some new balloon designs but whatever, I'm not gonna gripe about free stuff.
some examples of small cats that could be added are ocelot, serval, pallas cat, fishing cat, asian golden cat, caracal, jaguarundi and margay.

Coming back to the game after a lengthy hiatus I'm enjoying a lot of the recent updates, it really is excellent. In terms of gaps, I'm still finding a lack plants/gardening options, building is still pretty clunky and the number of animals now makes navigating adoption really difficult.

Be great to see a big plant/nature scenery pack with a couple of forest or jungle focused animals and some QoL improvements in menu navigation. Even an undergrowth painter that paints down low level shrubs.

I agree with that; lower-level plants are kind of lacking. I'd also really like the game to include play areas for kids in the future; it would be great to fill in extra spaces and increase happiness levels!

I'm thinking mountains/alpine animal pack. I think they might do aviaries in the spring (maybe for Easter because eggs=birds). Aviaries now would be a welcome surprise, though. We'll just have to see what the theme of the stream is and what they tease.
yeah. you're right.

Stream is live, there’s pampas grass(?) and a bunch of multicolored… things on the table and the chat keeps saying “owls”.
More at 11.
I'd argue the owl thing is s silly inside job or meme because of how the educators have an owl for a logo. I wouldn't be surprised if there are people who seriously believe in it. It just shows how people are desperate for birds.

Someone spotted an eye amongst the not-Lego pieces. My guess is that they’ll build the teaser animal near the end of the stream.
Everyone’s saying grasslands, but I think this might be a biomes animal pack, with one habitat animal representing each of the 7 biomes (and maybe an exhibit that can live in all of them or something).
Update: an armadillo!

They just placed a plastic armadillo on the lego habitat on the stream.

Edit: Corangurilla beat me to it.
I think this is a Nine-Banded Armadillo because of the two different biome dioramas.
Still doesn’t give us a clue of what this pack is gonna be. I’m sticking with my “biomes” pack idea.
Weird how we got pangolins day 1 and armadillos 3 years later. Wild.

that's the armadillo i was thinking.

Confirmation that the newest pack is the Grasslands Animal Pack, releasing on 13th December, and containing nine-banded armadillo, emu, maned wolf, caracal, red-necked wallaby, striped hyena, blue wildebeest and five butterfly species for the walkthrough exhibit - the cloudless sulfur, European peacock, Menelaus blue morpho, monarch and Old World swallowtail. The butterflies are the first exhibit animals with an interspecies bonus.
