A quick update from me to finish off the year unless an odd leaf-tailed gecko or something like that pops up locally – recent highlights have included three monstrous Powerful Owls at Featherdale, my first ever hyenas at Sydney Zoo, reacquainting with the long-beaked echidna once again at Taronga and a few of the really nice native geckos. Golden-tailed Geckoes are a personal favourite especially.

I'll repost my list after I edit & remove the rats & rabbits. Are sharks, nightjars & frogs/toads countable?

I think nightjars were added later and have been counted already, so you can add them. Sharks are countable, but not frogs&toads :)

Yesterday you had to ask which species of shark were kept in their main Shark Bay exhibit (Sea World Gold Coast [Sea World Gold Coast]). How do you know you saw the species above when you didn't even know what species were displayed there?

I accidentally added these to this list instead of adding them to my "to see" list for today. I visited today & saw all species but Bull Shark (may've died). I also saw Tawny Nurse-Shark so the number on my list stays the same. I'll fix that (& the Tiger) up on my next update which will be just after Christmas.

I just realiesed that Zagreb put me officialy in 100 Zoo club, which is a precious moment by itself. I am happy to add two very cool species on top of that. I missed the Fat dormouse third time this year, but I've seen it before and put all my cards on the Snow vole. Not regret :)

17.12 Zagreb zoo

309.Balkan snow vole/ Dinaromys bogdanovi
310.Asian garden dormouse/ Eliomys melanurus

Big surprise at Sofia zoo today! Only second place in Europe with this species and only one having them on display.

22.12 Sofia zoo

311.Common opossum/ Didelphis marsupialis
