I seem to recall a large newspaper feature from when this exhibit opened. It was very detailed and showed inhabitants in terrific illustrations in a 2 full-page article.
Does anyone have a recollection of this or the initial list. I feel almost positive that proboscis monkeys were temporarily displayed during the opening, but I'd like to confirm.
Also, I know the zoo had Doucs in the old Ape House before Jungle Trails opened, but I can't recall if they made the move to the new complex or were either immediately moved out/left to remain in the Ape building for their remaining years at the zoo.
I'd be really interested to see what was actually in the exhibit when it opened back in 1990 or 91.
