Hey guys,
Got feedback from someone who mentioned he saw a tiger shark in yokohama aquarium. Has anyone been there recently and do they still display the species?. Also sizes/age estimates would be great, or any info!
Cheers from U.K.

Does anyone know if Hakkeijima's Smalltooth sand tiger shark is alive? I went on November 18th and saw it swimming in the Sunfish tank in Dolphin Fantasy
R.E the Tiger Shark is now onshow in the former Sunfish tank in Dolphin Fantasy. It's a young individual, and rather small.
Source: I visited today.
Both this individual tiger shark and the smalltooth sand tiger shark...are unique in the Aquarium world, I assume!?R.E the Tiger Shark is now onshow in the former Sunfish tank in Dolphin Fantasy. It's a young individual, and rather small.

The Smalltooth Sand Tiger is presumably dead as I didn't see it on my visit just yesterday, and there are no known holdings. As for the Tiger shark(presumably you are referring to galeocerdo cuvier,) is held at 5 other zoos worldwide according to Zootierliste(which does not list Yokohama hakkeijima as a holder inaccurately.)Both this individual tiger shark and the smalltooth sand tiger shark...are unique in the Aquarium world, I assume!?
