Wow... That was a very long time.
But, at long last, we'll have a new zoo very soon; the Napoli/Naples Zoo in Italy!
Having seen pictures on Zoochat and elsewhere, while it's not as bad as Tirana's, i believe its interesting animal collection deserves a better zoo. Stay tuned for that! (And four other unrelated maps)

Naples was one of 5 ZTL zoos that held an eastern bat-eared fox
One of 4 that held a northern lesser kudu and striated lorikeet
One of 3 that held a white-banded owl, Kangaroo Island western grey kangaroo, Congo leopard
One of 2 that held a Sudan oribi, beira, tiang and Johnston's wildebeest
It was the only one that held Guenther's and Phillips' dik-dik, Masai klipspringer, Haggard's oribi, eastern coastal bushbuck and dibatag

Now most if not all of those are absent...
But they do have an African leopard! ;)

The zoo is trying to improve, after the new direction took action things are starting to run smoother, but they still have a lot to do.

It's also where the first klipspringer mating in captivity was registered (idk if in the whole world but in Europe for sure), and most of those species carry the unpleasant weight that the Italian colonialism was:confused:

At last, it's here; the Napoli/ Naples Zoo:

I may not go into as painstaking detail as I did Tirana with these next maps. That one had a VERY complex thought process behind it. But I'l try my best to further illustrate the zoo's design. First off, it would be in an entirely new location, not the current setting.
One of the big pluses this zoo has is a generous big cat collection, including the extremely rare African leopard, so I decided to further enhance that aspect by giving it a dedicated area. The Italian wilderness and Farm area, much like in the Tirana Zoo, are good ways of exhibiting the abundant and native wildlife, and I decided to add an aviary, as the current bird collection could do with a buff and re-arrangement.

@JigerofLemuria

Incredible planning and creativity man with your new improved Tirana Zoo.

Hey just did some rough measuring on an online app and it looks like if your idea for a new improved Tirana Zoo was on a scale of about 1.11 sq km that the pathways around the zoo would come to about 6km of walking approximately. Its really detailed and amazing how you have planned it, plus the species. Wish could be made a reality.

This is the measuring lines on your map:

WOW I'm very impressed! O.o
I'm not so good at that reading, so... overall, would you say the exhibits' dimensions are good?

Oh very very good, like more in line with open range zoos, definitely on the larger size, one of the best concept maps have ever seen. I'm impressed with what you created its amazing. Thanks though for your kind compliment. Was fun to try work out what it might be like in terms of size if it was on a certain scale.

Glad to know I keep my animals in good conditions! :D
Feel free to check our and measure any map of mine that takes your fancy! ;)
