Penguins International is doing a penguin bracket this year, made up of penguins in zoos and aquariums around the world. Their goal is to bring attention to the conservation efforts taking place in these facilities, as well as the education places do with their local communities about penguins. Why am I effort posting this? I have no idea. But here we go!

The winner receives the following fictional prizes:
  • A crown made out of fish
  • A personalized ice sculpture of themselves
  • A private iceberg to call their own
  • A guest spot on a penguin-themed talk show
  • A starring role in a Hollywood blockbuster called “Penguin Champ”
  • A ceremonial parade through the streets of Antarctica with other penguin celebrities

Here's the full bracket, to see who is facing off against who! For round 1 they're matched pretty fairly, with celebrity vs celebrity, the two oldest against each other, etc.

Round 2 voting is March 26-28. The matchups are:

Mai vs Bahati
Nugget vs Elmyr
Alastor vs ET
Monty vs Jules
Fitz vs Andre
Hugh vs Anya
Whitey vs Wellington
Spike vs Sheila

I missed round 3, oops, so we're now on to the final 4! Voting is today through the 11th.

Mai vs ET
Hugh vs Spike

Spike the King from Birdland is in the final. Voting can be done on Penguins International website, Facebook page and Instagram account

Not even going to mention Mai being the other finalist? Bit mean of you :P

Very disappointed ET lost in the last round. I don't quite understand how things have turned out the way they did, but oh well.

Fair point but then I am slightly biased.

Mai received over 5,000 more online votes than ET, although ET would have won if it were on Social Media voting alone
