is this winsor safari park
does anyone have a map of winsor
Windsor Safari Park was on what is now home to legoland,it almost certainly isn`t Causeway Safari Park, because like Pertinax said in his post it was in Northern Island, there are some photos on here taken at Causeway after it had closed.

Causeway Safari Park(Antrim, Northern Ireland) had a notable incident when three adult chimps escaped and went on the rampage. It became very rundown before it closed and I believe some of the Hamadryas Babboons at the Welsh Monkey Sanctuary were rescued from there as they had been abandoned and left behind.

Causeway Safari Park became a sanctuary run by the RSPCA or the irish equivalent I believe. They still had some big cats and baboons on site certainly upto the last few years as they featured in a TV series about the work there. They still had one of the elder keepers who still looked after some of the animals.

I know this is a long shot, posting now but Pertinax (or anyone else), can you confirm which year and which three chimps?

I can't remember the year. I think the three chimps were males and that one of them was called 'Ben' and was a later offspring of 'Buttons' & 'Susan'- the old breeding pair at Bristol Zoo. Sorry I have no other details.
