Are the Galapagos iguanas (marine or ground) now in exhibit?

This center looks very interesting. What rare species, especially Japanese or Asian, are there here?

My apologies. I would like to add that it was only the marine iguanas that were taken.
Galapagos land Iguanas are still on display.

It's been a couple years since Izoo talked about having Komodo Dragons. Any updates?

When I visited this zoo in May there was a large facility for Komodo dragons. I know this because I saw the exhibitabout this species, but I didn't see any specimens.

I do not know ..., so sorry I cannot give you any helpful advice.

But if you do manage to visit and get to the place on your current Japan trip, me and I am sure quite a few other Zoochatters with an interest in Japanese zoos and aquaria that You can give an update on their Galapagos land iguana (and where the Galapagos marine iguana ended up?), Komodo dragons, the breeding program for Aldabran giant tortoises, some of the other critically endangered tortoise and turtle species and any other interesting herp taxa!

There are no buses.
It's 5 minutes by taxi.

I visited Izoo in 2022. I went from the town taking a walk. The visit is well worth it, this place is amazing for the herp's fans.

So I managed to visit IZoo today, using taxi, thanks for your advise.

I was a bit in a time-press,but regarding Galapagos iguanas, I counted 6 fully grown specimen in two separated enclosures and 6 juveniles, approximately 40 cm in length.

I think there are very few juvenile iguanas. When I visited Izoo 2 years ago they had more specimens...

They have given away Galapagos iguanas to other facilities, such as Ambani’s Vantara
