i was waiting for someone to shed some light on this. i got bitten by two of them last monday

Did you go close to them? I've visited the park many times and have never made any physical contact with the cockatoos. I know full well what mischief they can get up to and never linger around them.

Could somebody give me an idea of the mixes inside of crimson wetlands and wings of Asia? There isn’t many signage online unfortunately

On the first page of this thread @Zooish provides species lists for the aviaries, from April (so about two months ago).

Hello everyone!

I'm new to the site and very excited to join. I'm part of the staff team at Bird Paradise and just love the enthusiasm of everyone in this post.

Our new park is very special to us, as it has been in development for quite some time. While everyone seem to be very up to date on what is currently happening and I wanted to share some additional notes.

With a project of this size, taking into consideration all the logistics that went into it, financial and otherwise, it was very important for us to get it open as soon as we were able to.

No worries, there is much more to come, in fact, new species will be introduced to their new homes in the very near future.

We are currently focusing on marketing and getting the word out, on how amazing and unique our Bird Paradise is. While many of the tourism in Singapore might be familiar with our famous zoo or even the adjacent River Wonders, we want them to see what an incredible experience Bird Paradise is.

Our marketing team is hard at work, while our park keeps on growing. The big things to look out for are:

1. There will be a high quality documentary streaming very soon, about the developing phase, transition and grand opening of Bird Paradise. I will have more details on this event, once I know the date of the release and how everyone could watch it.

2. Our marketing team together with some very talented artists have created a monumental next generation Digital Billboard that will soon be displayed in the Gardens by the Bay area. The idea is that this will be the first of several unique Digital Billboards throughout highly visited areas in Singapore showcasing all that Mandai Wildlife Reserve has to offer.

3. Bird Paradise is in close collaboration with the digital entertainment industry, bringing further and future exposure to our park.

Thank you guys, and stay tunned big things are happening at Mandai Bird Paradise.

You'll have to post more on this site to post photos, in the meantime you could perhaps try identify it through other means? [eg. discord server, Inaturalist (but make sure to mark it captive!), etc.]

Recently I went to the zoo to look for king quail and was told they were moved to Bird Paradise. May I know where are the king quails house? They are very shy birds and it may not be possible to see them if they are house in any aviary

Do we have any further updates on Winged Sanctuary’s progress?

Also, how grown in is the vegetation around the park so far?
So far there are aviaries for various hornbills, Philippine eagles, small Asian birds and one with South American birds. Not all of them are open and many are cordoned off

As noobmaster69 mentioned, only about 1/3 of Winged Sanctuary is open. The remaning aviaries will progressively open in the coming weeks/months.

The vegetation is growing out but still not much shade in many parts of the park.
