The Florida International Teaching Zoo is a facility located in Sumer County, Florida. It boasts the largest troop of patas monkeys in the Americas as well as other species such as spotted hyena, jaguar, emu, broad-snouted caiman, nene goose, cottontop tamarin, owl monkey, blue-billed teal, African crested porcupine, Lady Amherst pheasant, and Mandarin duck.

On June 4th, 2021, the zoo announced that they have acquired (1.1) crested partridges from an undisclosed facility and will be located in the zoo's aviary.

On November 13th, the zoo announced that their (1.0) red kangaroo named Tony has passed away due to natural causes. The zoo is not acquiring another one anytime soon.

Given that two months have gone by since the original lease’s expiration date, It came to my attention as to what exactly happened in that time since?

Technically, while anyone can still access their main website with little issue. It’s entirely possible that they might have closed already, which would’ve had little to no fanfare if true.
