Seeing many sloths, rare mammals, owls and octopuses in zoos and aquariums has got me thinking about them. Which other animals do you think are more like that?
I'd suggest that stony corals present a lot less movement.Giant clams probably easily win this.
Yeah, that's normal behaviour for anemones. They'll wander until they find a spot they like (good light, flow conditions etc) and then stay put there.I care for an Urticina anemone that has not moved in about three years. It's fully capable of moving should it choose to do so, guess it just likes it's spot.
Echinoderms, especially sea stars can be surprisingly active! They just move slow enough that people often don't recognise that they're moving, but they do wander around quite a bit!Some animals I've never seen moving, however include the aforementioned corals, but also sea urchins and sea star/starfish.
