Parque de Cotia (new zoo in São Paulo)

the wombat and the koalas went to the são paulo aquarium, i still think that some of the koalas go to the animalia, but i can't say for sure.
the black lemur, the zebras and the hyenas are there. the only one i can't tell is the red bellied lemur.
but if you pay attention, not all the animals were disclosed on the site, some are missing (Egyptian goose, helmeted guineafowl, emu, gemsbok,Orinoco goose,radjah shelduck etc). and we know that the zoo is not ready, enclosures still under construction.

Yes, thank you very much my friend, I would like to see cheetahs in the enclosure that bengal tigers live for now. and for the koalas, the aquarium don 't have enough space for them, eventually, the marsupials will be transferred to Cotia, hopefully.

i don't think that's gonna happen,i think cheetahs will have their own enclosure eventually.
 
good morning guys, today is the day of the inauguration of the park, can't wait to have the opportunity to visit it someday, i was seeing some videos about the park, and i've seen many people touching the birds and it is allowed, but the best part is that the birds will land on you lol. it's nice to see a park that allows the guests to interact with aviary's birds.

Yes, they have already officially published it on their website. It's not as surprising as many of us tought before, but I'm pretty sure it's because they intend to bring much more species in a near future. After all, as a private institution, they needed to inaugurate the place asap, even though not all intended animals were part of the collection yet.

i was watching some videos about people going to the park, and one of the videos shows a sign that soon gorillas will join the park's collection, and it's clear that they will bring much more species like tigers, cheetahs, giant pandas, crocodiles, elephants and many others. this is just what i think, of course.
 
They have the seals listed on their website as South African fur seal (Arctocephalus pusillus)

Is this a new species to held in South America as I have not heard of any other zoos keeping them?

This is a new species. If I recall correctly, Animália Park imported one from Germany and a couple more from Angola.

As Enzo says, it's indeed a new one. The animals are, by the way, already on exhibit.

One thing I can tell you: Some of these animals will get to the park sooner than you probably think.

Yeah, but I'm talking about another species he mentioned. Let's say they might already be part of the collection until the end of the year :)
 
I went to the park, it's definitely not finished yet, the tiger enclosure was housing the llamas and they were still putting up electric fences.
there is a very large enclosure being built right after the mandrill enclosure.
